(8.23.13) It is with deep sadness that we share the news that our Founding Chairman, Francis H. Beam, Jr., has passed away. In spite of his health challenges, he was deeply interested and committed to the Foundation, sharing his thoughts and advice on our strategies and celebrating in all of our collective work in the nonprofit community. Frank’s leadership of the board, especially during the transition from medical center to foundation, was strong and steady.
