Woodhill Choice Update

Thank you for all of your contributions to the Woodhill Choice

Transformation Plan so far! As of today the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority along with our partners at The City of ClevelandThe Community BuildersCity Architecture, the National Initiative on Mixed Income Communities at CWRU and Purpose Built Communities are officially competing for a $35 million dollar federal grant from HUD to implement the Woodhill Transformation Plan in the Buckeye Woodhill neighborhood.

We submitted the application for this funding today. We have spent the last few months developing a compelling case for this federal funding, which includes a range of neighborhood investments and a focus on housing and supportive services inside of Woodhill Homes from 2020-2025, in total these commitments amount to $418 million in leverage!

We are still working hard and the draft of the Woodhill Transformation Plan is in its final stages of development. We should learn about the implementation grant award this coming spring, and we will be submitting the final version of the Transformation Plan to HUD in February 2020.
