CEO Anne Goodman’s Last Day

Posted April 03, 2020 in News Items

It is with great sadness that we wish CEO Anne Goodman farewell. Anne announced back in September that she had decided it was time to move on from her leadership role at Saint Luke’s Foundation. And now her final day has arrived – April 3, 2020. Fortunately for Saint Luke’s and the broader Cleveland community, Anne is not going far. She has established a consulting business and will continue doing great work in our community.

Anne has been Saint Luke’s leader for almost six years, and she leaves a strong legacy. She led Saint Luke’s through a comprehensive strategic planning process that resulted in a new mission statement – to achieve health equity by addressing social determinants of health for people in neighborhoods surrounding Saint Luke’s and throughout Cuyahoga County. Under her leadership, Saint Luke’s became laser-focused in pursuit of our vision that “people thrive as a result of living free of racism and poverty and experiencing equitable economic opportunities and conditions that enable them to lead healthier lives”.

Under Anne’s leadership, Saint Luke’s became not just a thoughtful funder of strong partner organizations, but also a thought leader. Saint Luke’s “punched above its weight,” leveraging its talented staff and strong board to be a leader in important community efforts, such as the campaign to be a lead-safe community, supporting resiliency in families, the Shaker Square redevelopment and creating a purpose-built community in Buckeye.

The Saint Luke’s Board is in the final stages of its hiring process for a new CEO. We hope to announce the outcome in a few short weeks. In the meantime, the Saint Luke’s staff and board are working together to lead the organization through this transition. And don’t be surprised to see Anne engaged in some of our work in the coming weeks – she will serve as a consultant on important projects during this transition.

We will miss Anne and her leadership. Anne laid a strong foundation that will enable Saint Luke’s to continue our dedication to this mission and vision.

We wish Anne all the best,

From the Saint Luke’s Board of Directors
