I am writing to let you know that our staff will be working remotely for the foreseeable future due to our effort to stem the spread of COVID-19. These cautionary measures are taken to protect our staff, their families and our community.
I want to assure you that our grantmaking work will not be interrupted at this time and we will process things on the same timeline.
Working in partnership with other funders and our grantees, we’re looking to identify ways we can support the nonprofit sector to address the unanticipated needs. Thanks to everyone for helping us understand the realities of this public health threat on the operational needs of your organizations.
For those of you with a current grant from the Foundation, please know that we understand that you are facing considerable challenges and we have great empathy for you. You needn’t be concerned about programmatic progress that may be stunted or halted during this crisis. You are all likely experiencing one form or another of service interruption and we understand. We will be flexible and work in partnership with you. Please reach out to your program officer when you can to check in and let us know the status of the challenges you may be facing. We also want to be here should you have any questions or concerns.
I know many of you are facing difficult decisions and significant challenges. I hope for peace and health for us all in these uncertain times.
