Goodman leaves a legacy of strong leadership and significant contributions to the strength of the organization
Cleveland, Ohio (Sept. 11, 2019) – Saint Luke’s Foundation President and CEO Anne Goodman announced today that she has decided to leave her position with the Foundation to start her own consulting business serving the non-profit community.
Over the last five years, the Foundation developed a comprehensive new strategy and placed a heightened focus on evaluation and outcomes while growing its involvement with the neighborhood surrounding Saint Luke’s. During Anne’s tenure as CEO, she successfully led the staff and Board of Directors in developing the new strategic direction focused on achieving health equity by addressing the social determinants of health.
“Leading Saint Luke’s for the past five years has genuinely been an honor and a pleasure,” said President and CEO Anne Goodman. “It has been both inspiring and humbling for me to work with such passionate grantees, and a great staff and Board to serve our community. I am now going to fulfill my dream of going one level deeper to help non-profit organizations in the areas of management, strategic fundraising and program evaluation. I leave with nothing but fondness and a firm belief in this organization and its ability to continue to have significant impact on the pursuit of health equity through the work of our non-profit partners.”
“Anne has been a tremendous leader at Saint Luke’s and in our community,” said Board Chair Colleen Cotter. “The Board is extremely grateful for her leadership, and we are fully supportive of her decision to make a career change at this time in her life. In addition, we are very pleased that she will remain at Saint Luke’s for some time to ensure a smooth leadership transition. Personally, this is bittersweet news for me as I am so excited for her to pursue her dream, but we will miss her immensely.”
Saint Luke’s will conduct an extensive national search to find the next President and CEO. In order to ensure a smooth transition, Anne will continue in her role until her successor is named later this year or in early 2020. In the meantime, the Board has the utmost confidence in Anne and the Foundation staff to continue their passionate commitment to working with community partners in pursuit of health equity in neighborhoods surrounding Saint Luke’s and throughout Cuyahoga County.
