(10.10.13) The Pews Charitable Trusts along with sub-grantee partner Cleveland City Planning have garnered attention in the collective promotion and support of the growth of Health Impact Assessments (HIAs) in Greater Cleveland. Great strides have been made with organizations receiving training and technical assistance from the national team. Cleveland City Planning, along with local partner organizations, including the Cuyahoga County Board of Health, are part of a national learning community of municipalities and nonprofit organizations working to include human health impacts into community planning considerations. Most recently, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation sat down for a Q & A with Cleveland Councilman Joe Cimperman in a discussion framed around “HIA as a Rosetta Stone.” To read the article, click here.
