Vedette joined the Foundation in 2010 as the third Francis H. Beam Fellow. She comes to this position from the Columbus Public Health Department, where she coordinated the injury prevention program for Franklin County. Her experience in the areas of minority health, health disparities, environmental health and planning and prevention, reflects innovative public health program design and implementation at the community level.

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Vedette holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Physiology from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Master of Public Health degree from The Ohio State University.
