Heather C. Clayton joined Saint Luke’s Foundation in October 2007. As the second Francis H. Beam, Jr. Fellow, Heather will spend 20 months with the Foundation learning the inner workings of foundation grantmaking and community involvement. Established in 2006, the fellowship is named after founding board chair Francis H. Beam, Jr.
Heather is a native of Cleveland who for more than six years provided programming initiatives for the Cleveland Public Library. Prior to that, Clayton enjoyed teaching adolescents in programs such as the NASA Workforce and Economic Development Division-SEMAA Program. Heather holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cleveland State University College of Education, as well as a Master's degree in Public Administration. She is also holds a graduate Nonprofit Management Certificate from the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University.
In her spare time, Heather enjoys interior design, promoting local artists within the city, traveling and volunteering for the Heights Arts organization in Cleveland Heights.
