Last December, the Center for Community Solutions conducted its annual "Telling Your Story VIII: Nonprofits and the Media" program. At that session, the group discussed whether social marketing is a supplement or substitute for traditional marketing approaches.
Given the overwhelming interest, the Center for Community Solutions and the Saint Luke's Foundation are partnering to bring you a follow-up program where you can hear first-hand from those in the nonprofit field who are using social media tools and are at various stages in the process. Note: This is a stand-alone program; the December 2008 program is not a prerequisite.
Panelists include:
Kim St. John-Stevenson, Communications Officer, Saint Luke’s Foundation of Greater Cleveland
Jessica Gupta, Director of Public Policy, AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland
Debbie Rodriguez, President & CEO, Recovery Resources
Peter Vertes, Director of Marketing and Communications, Cleveland Botanical Gardens
Samantha Fryberger, Director of Communications, Positively Cleveland
Sue Doerfer, Executive Director, LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland
Moderator: George Nemeth, Social Media Specialist, Optiem; Founder, BrewedFreshDaily.com
Cost of the workshop is $50. Payment required by July 13 to confirm reservation. Parking is free.
Limited scholarships are available for Saint Luke's Foundation grantees. Email scholarship request to Kim St. John-Stevenson - kstjohn@saintlukesfoundation.org.
